In recent years, a number of former Manchester United players have rebuilt and even advanced their careers outside of Old Trafford.
An excellent example is Scott McTominay, who flourished in Serie A with Napoli and swiftly gained popularity among Italian fans.
Marcus Rashford had a comparatively good loan experience at Aston Villa as well.
The Englishman helped the Villans push in Europe after rediscovering his spark.
During a fruitful loan stint at Real Betis, even Antony, who had lost favor and form at United, found happiness once more.
The Brazilian promptly resumed displaying glimpses of the potential that United had previously paid a high price for.
However, not every former Manchester United player end up playing consistently at the top level.
Some have had to rebuild their careers lower down the football pyramid.
And one former United midfielder is looking to do just that as has now signed for a League Two side.

Shrewsbury Town have officially confirmed that Tom Sang has become the club’s latest signing.
The 25-year-old, who can play both wing-back and midfield, has signed a two-year contract at Croud Meadow.
Sang, who spent some time in the Manchester United academy, comes in after helping Port Vale win promotion to League Two the previous season.
While Tom Anderson and Sam Clucas joined Town earlier in the window, he follows in the footsteps of Sam Stubbs and Will Boyle, who both joined this week.
Former United coach Kieran McKenna said that he was a “hard-working and diligent lad” after manager Jose Mourinho called him up to train with the first-team in October 2018.
Shrewsbury Town director of football Micky Moore said: “It’s been a busy week and we are delighted to round it off with the addition of Tom Sang.
“Tom is a really good footballer. He started at Manchester United as an attacking midfielder and, like Tom Anderson, Sam Clucas, Sam Stubbs and Will Boyle, he arrives having a promotion on his CV”.
The Shrews will be hoping that Tom Sang can show some of that Manchester United quality this season in their bid to get promoted to League One.
