Manchester United’s summer rebuild is already underway with the arrival of Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5m.
But with more signings targeted – particularly in attack, midfield, and in goal – United will need to balance spending with significant sales.
Several big names are expected to be offloaded in the coming weeks as Ruben Amorim looks to reshape the squad in his image.
Among those facing an uncertain future is Mason Mount, who has struggled to settle in at Old Trafford.

Mount’s season at Old Trafford was hampered by injury and poor form.
He made just 26 appearances in all competitions, scoring three times without registering a single assist.
According to former United scout Mick Brown for Football Insider, the club are now open to selling the 26-year-old this summer to raise transfer funds.
Brown told Football Insider: “There is a possibility Mason Mount is sold.
“Amorim has made the decision that he doesn’t think he’s good enough.
“They put a lot of stock into getting him fit again and getting him back to where he was.
“I think Amorim has made the decision that he doesn’t think he’s good enough.
“United just feel they can improve in that position and that may mean moving him on.”
United’s midfield targets and the incoming additions of Cunha – and potentially Bryan Mbeumo, further complicate Mount’s pathway back into the side.

While no official bids have yet been made, Mount’s Premier League and Champions League experience could make him an attractive option for clubs such as West Ham, Everton, or Wolves.
Recently promoted teams like Leeds, Burnley, or Sunderland may also view him as the kind of leader needed to survive in the top flight.
Whether Mount chooses a starting role at a smaller club or a squad role at a top-six side, United appear ready to move on.
