Manchester United have continuously been searching for a new man to lead their line, after the injury issues and lack of goals from current forwards, Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
United will be aiming to bolster their attack in order to improve on their dismal 15th place finish in last season Premier League.

Ruben Amorim will be hoping that he can build on the signing of new man, Matheus Cunha, who has recently put pen to paper on a deal at United which cost the club £62.5 million.

With a strong attacking line-up, fans will be hoping United can push towards the European places next season and secure themselves a place for the 2026-27 season.

As well as attempting to qualify for Europe, United will be hoping they can continue their recent cup success’, having won the Carabao cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024 – United will be looking to reach the latter stages of the domestic competitions during next seasons campaign.

Manchester United’s main priority is for Ruben Amorim to be provided with a squad he believes can play his chosen 3-4-2-1 system and compete in the Premier League.

Upon Ruben Amorim’s arrival at Sporting Lisbon, he was not happy with the group of players he inherited from the previous boss.

During his first season in charge, across two transfer windows, Amorim signed 11 players which allowed him to lead his Sporting side to their first Portuguese title in 18 years – Beating rivals, FC Porto and Benfica.

Ruben Amorim has recently shown interest in a number of strikers, including Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen.

Following a series of discussions with Saudi Arabian club, Al-Hilal, Napoli were set to make a decision by Friday on the future of their Nigerian striker.

However, Victor Osimhen rejected Al-Hilal’s offer regarding personal terms, leading to their uncertainty surrounding the strikers demands.

According to Ben Jacobs, Al-Hilal have now scheduled a medical for Victor Osimhen and are hoping to finalise the deal with Napoli this weekend.

The Saudi Arabian club remain cautious, after the events in the past 24 hours, but Osimhen is still Al-Hilal’s top target ahead of the 2025 Club World Cup.

They have hopes that they can meet with the Nigerian forward in Paris today, to secure a deal which will see him become an Al-Hilal player.

With a medical booked for the superstar, it is unlikely Ruben Amorim will be able to sign Victor Osimhen, meaning his attentions will shift towards Sporting Lisbon striker, Victor Gyokeres.
