Manchester United’s summer overhaul is officially underway as Ruben Amorim targets major improvements ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The club confirmed the £62.5m signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves earlier this week, with the Brazilian expected to take the lead role in United’s revamped frontline.
However, work is far from over at Carrington, with the club still actively seeking reinforcements in wide areas and up front.

After losing out to Chelsea for Liam Delap, United have turned their attention to proven Premier League attackers.
The focus now appears to be on players with versatility and strong goal involvements, especially those who can thrive in Amorim’s system and press intensely from the front.
One name now firmly in the frame is Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, with reports indicating that Manchester United have made official contact with the Bees regarding a summer move.
The 25-year-old winger has reportedly already given the green light for the switch, signalling his desire to play under Amorim and join a club of United’s stature.
Brentford, however, are playing hardball over the fee, demanding £60million – a sum that would surpass the club’s previous record sale of Ivan Toney.
Bryan Mbeumo, who netted 20 goals and provided seven assists across 38 games in the Premier League last season, is coming off the most productive campaign of his career.

Only Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak scored more goals than the Cameroon international in the top flight.
According to talkSPORT, United are also believed to be ready to meet his £250,000-a-week wage demands – five times his current salary at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Despite interest from Newcastle, Mbeumo is said to be focused solely on a move to Old Trafford.
Brentford boss Thomas Frank admitted recently that a sale was possible, saying: “He is at his best age, he has scored 20 goals… We are a selling club, so if someone comes in with the right price.”
With just one year left on his deal, United are hoping Brentford will be tempted to cash in – but they may need to act quickly to avoid further competition.
