Manchester United are reportedly considering a new goalkeeper to provide backup or even replace Andre Onana in the upcoming transfer window.
With United’s goalkeeper situation under the microscope, this could be the beginning of a new chapter for the club’s goalkeeping ranks.
The Red Devils’ current backup, Altay Bayindir, has struggled to secure regular game time since his move two years ago.

Despite joining as a promising addition, Bayindir has only made 10 appearances for the club, with just three Premier League starts where he conceded 10 goals.
His performances have led to speculation that he could be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer.
While Onana himself has attracted mixed reviews over his performances, his spot as United’s first-choice goalkeeper remains secure – for now.
Reports indicate that United may seek a more competitive option to push Onana further.
One name that has come up repeatedly in discussions is Senne Lammens, the 23-year-old goalkeeper from Royal Antwerp, as per BBC Sport’s Simon Stone.
Stone noted that while Senne Lammens might not yet be ready to step in as the first-choice keeper, the Belgian has been making waves with his performances in the Belgian Pro League.

Lammens has impressed many, notably for his remarkable ability to save penalties, having stopped four out of six attempts this season.
Lammens has been lauded as ‘phenomenal’ and has only conceded 26 goals in 24 league matches, making him a sought-after prospect in European circles.
Although he lacks senior international caps and experience in European competitions, his potential could make him an attractive option for Ruben Amorim, Manchester United’s manager.
Stone suggested that if United were to bring in Lammens, it would allow Amorim to assess his readiness for the Premier League, but such a move is still considered a long shot given the young keeper’s inexperience.
Should United act quickly, they may secure one of Europe’s most promising young goalkeepers, potentially reshaping their goalkeeping ranks for years to come.
