Ayden Heaven, who joined United from Arsenal in January, made an immediate impact with composed performances in his debut and the games he played thereafter.

However, his progress was halted when he sustained a foot injury during his first Premier League start against Leicester City in March, necessitating a stretchered exit from the pitch.

Initially, the injury appeared serious, with Heaven seen wearing a protective boot during the international break.

Fortunately, the prognosis was more optimistic than first feared.

Ruben Amorim confirmed that Heaven’s injury was not as severe as anticipated, and the defender was expected to return to action before the season’s end.

Heaven’s rehabilitation progressed well, and he was named on the bench for United’s loss at Newcastle United, signaling a potential return to first-team action.

Thankfully, Heaven has now been making genuine progress.

Ayden Heaven spotted in individual training session

As per Rich Fay on X, Heaven was seen undergoing fitness drills during Wednesday morning’s training session.

He was spotted with a coach, working away from the first team as he looks to build his fitness back up.

As the season approaches its climax, United will be hoping for a swift and complete recovery for Heaven, whose early performances have marked him as a player with significant potential.

Heaven last played in United’s 3-0 win over Leicester, a performance which drew praise from a certain Manchester United legend.

The club’s medical staff will continue to monitor his progress closely, aiming to reintegrate him into the squad when fully fit.

Fans will be hoping to see Heaven back in action as soon as possible.

However Amorim will be well aware of the need to manage players carefully, going into next season.
