Over the last year, Manchester United’s financial struggles have been well documented across the news, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe making some major changes to ease their pressures.
The INEOS owner claimed that without his interventions with mass redundancies and ticket price hikes, the club would have been bust by Christmas 2025.
However, despite these struggles, United are still ranking high up in the top 25 of the world’s most valuable football teams.
CNBC have done the maths and listed the worlds top clubs with regards to worth, with the top 25 having an average worth of £2 billion and an average earnings of £390 million before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.
With Europa being the hub of world football, it’s no surprise that 22 of the 25 sides are from Europe, with eleven Premier League sides featuring.
Of those eleven, naturally the “big six” feature, alongside Brighton and Hove Albion, Fulham, Aston Villa, West Ham United and Newcastle United.
All six of the top Premier League sides featured in the top ten, with Chelsea in tenth, Tottenham Hotspur in ninth and Arsenal in eighth.
However PSG and Bayern Munich disrupts the block of English teams, putting Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United in the top five alongside Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The Citizens rounded off fifth place with Liverpool only just above them. Then comes Barcelona in third, with Manchester United sat in second place as the most valuable Premier League side, only runner up overall to Real Madrid.
