Manchester United are expected to make significant changes to their squad this summer, with the club actively assessing who stays and who goes under Ruben Amorim’s leadership.

Following a disappointing Premier League campaign, United have already begun internal evaluations of loanees and fringe players, including decisions on whether to cash in on out-of-favour names.

The likes of Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, and Alejandro Garnacho all have uncertain futures, while United are also considering reinforcements in wide areas.

While incomings are still being planned, exits may provide a necessary financial boost as the Red Devils prepare for what could be a transformative transfer window.

One such case revolves around Antony, who is currently enjoying a career revival on loan at Real Betis.

The Brazilian winger scored a stunning volley in the 2-1 victory over Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League semi-final first leg, bringing his goal tally to six in 19 games across all competitions.

Despite growing interest from other clubs, including Atletico Madrid who have reportedly enquired about his situation, Betis remain confident of retaining the 25-year-old’s services.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Antony has personally assured the Spanish club that he will “do everything in his power” to remain at Betis for at least another year.

Sources suggest Betis are leaning heavily on the player’s word as they await developments from Manchester United, who are still undecided on whether to sell permanently or sanction another loan.

Champions League qualification could be key, as Antony is reportedly eager to continue his momentum in Seville if European football is on the cards.

United, who shelled out over £80 million for the former Ajax star, are believed to be open to letting him go should the right financial offer come in, either from Betis or elsewhere.

While Betis remain calm for now, Manchester United will ultimately hold the final say in what could become one of the club’s more intriguing summer transfer sagas.
