Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe took over football operations at Old Trafford just over a year ago when he purchased his 27.7% stake in the club.

Since then he’s made a range of controversial decisions in a bid to cut costs, claiming that his intervention has saved the club from going bust by Christmas 2025.

However also during this time he’s seen his INEOS company pull out of several deals with other sporting clubs such as with New Zealand Rugby and with their branding at Tottenham Hotspur’s home ground.

Now, l’Informé has reported the biggest move of all of Ratcliffe’s that have seen him back away from other sporting ventures.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe looks to sell OGC Nice

The report explains that Ratcliffe is looking at the potential of selling his other club OGC Nice in a bid to take over full ownership of Manchester United.

Previously the INEOS owner expressed his disinterest in the club, saying: “I don’t particularly like going to see Nice.”

He continued: “There are good players, but the level of football is not high enough for me to be enthusiastic.”

It’s understood that the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund are considering a move for the French club should Ratcliffe go through with the sale.
