Tottenham appear to have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Ryan Sessegnon, with Fulham seemingly confident he will stay with them.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to snap up the teenager as a replacement for Danny Rose, who has been tipped to move before next month’s transfer deadline.[phone]

However, Fulham manager Scott Parker has said that he believes Sessegnon will still be at Craven Cottage after that August 8 deadline.
The player has just a year remaining on his contract and has been widely tipped to move to north London.
But Parker believes Sessegnon, who is recovering from a hamstring problem, will play a big part in Fulham’s promotion challenge.

“He’s rehabbing back to a point where he can feature,” Parker told West London Sport.
“We’ll try everything we can [to keep him]. We’ll see what will happen from there but at this present time, with 10 days [of the transfer window] to go, he’s a Fulham player and we fully expect him to rehab back from his injury and play a big part.”
Sessegnon’s injury forced him off during England’s European Under-21 Championship game against Romania and he has not featured at all in Fulham’s pre-season campaign.
