Ruben Amorim has had a rough first season at Old Trafford, taking over from Erik ten Hag with Manchester United having their worst Premier League season on record.
The Portuguese manager is keen to bounce back next season and turn things around looking to the summer to rebuild his squad.
However, this might not be so easy.

Ruben Amorim’s summer transfer issues
The club are experiencing significant financial pressures after years of mismanagement, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe announcing his controversial measures and investment has stopped the club from going bust by Christmas 2025.
With United spending £600 million on transfers under Erik ten Hag with almost nothing to show for it, Amorim is already set to have limited transfer funds going into the summer, having to rely on sales to generate funds or capital from winning the Europa League.
As such, the United recruitment team will need to be clever about their transfer business to make the most of their moves in the market.
The club are in need of a vast overhaul, with the likes of Antony, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford all looking extremely likely to depart the club permanently after their loan spells.
However, United are also looking to offload players like Rasmus Hojlund and Andre Onana who have been extremely problematic this season.

Andre Onana to stay at Old Trafford
Now, in a twist of events, The Daily Mail has reported that this might not be the case for one of the pair as Ruben Amorim looks to prioritise other positions other than change up his goalkeeping team.
As such, Andre Onana looks to get his wish to fight to make his time at United successful whilst Amorim focuses on remodelling his attack after the side have looked extremely inconsistent in front of goal.
It’s also been reported that Tom Heaton could be staying on for another 12 months in a bid to use his experience as back-up goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is expected to leave to find first-team football.
