Manchester United wantaway Marcus Rashford is looking to find his next club this summer as a move from his boyhood club looks increasingly imminent.

The attacker has found his form once more during his loan spell at Aston Villa, however, his season may now have been cut short.

Whilst Rashford featured in Villa’s 2-1 loss to Manchester City, scoring a penalty, he was absent from The Villains FA Cup loss to Crystal Palace due to a hamstring injury.

Whilst it’s not been deemed as requiring surgery, he’s not expected to return to the pitch this season, making his showing at the Etihad his final game for Villa this season.

Villa do have the option to buy Rashford at the end of the season for £40 million, except his £325,000 per week wage is providing a significant barrier for most clubs.

The attacker has commented that if he doesn’t make a permanent move to Villa Park, his only requirements are to have Champions League football and to not move to London, with his heart set on Barcelona.

However, The Daily Mail has reported that his brother and agent Dwaine Maynard was spotted in the director’s box at the Etihad stadium for the game.

Maynard was seen sat near City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain and his replacement Hugo Viana for the game.

In the winter before Rashford moved to Villa, Maynard toured Europe meeting with clubs to line up a move for his brother, with speculation now rising his attendance at the Etihad was doing the same.

Manchester City are likely to qualify for the Champions League, meeting both of the requirements Rashford is looking for in his next club.

However, were Rashford would turncoat from United to their local rivals, especially after his parting of ways at the start of the year with the club, it’s hard to imagine that United fans would hold much love for their former poster boy.
