Manchester United’s midfield rebuild is expected to be a major theme in the summer transfer window, as manager Ruben Amorim begins shaping the squad in his image.
The Portuguese tactician has reportedly made it clear to the board that technical ability and positional versatility are non-negotiable traits for new signings.
United have already begun drawing up a shortlist of targets, with midfield additions among the key priorities following the exits of multiple players in recent windows.
One name who continues to generate headlines, despite having left the club long ago, is former fan favourite Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman, who left Old Trafford for a second time in 2022, is reportedly in talks to lace up his boots once again—but not in the way most fans would expect.
According to popular YouTuber and Baller League co-founder KSI, Pogba could be set for a surprise return to action in the fast-growing six-a-side tournament.
Pogba, now 32, has been a free agent since mutually terminating his contract with Juventus in December amid injury setbacks and an anti-doping case.

During a live commentary segment on Monday evening, KSI revealed that he and Pogba had been in contact over a potential wildcard appearance in the Baller League.
Asked who he’d most like to bring in as a weekly wildcard, KSI responded: “Pogba. He’s a free agent.
“We do [follow each other on social media] and we are in talks.”
He added: “It depends on who he wants, but I feel like a player of his calibre would have to play for a team at the bottom.”
The Baller League features a mix of ex-professionals, futsal players and non-league talents, with each team allowed one weekly wildcard to bolster their ranks.
The tournament has already featured big-name appearances from legends like John Terry, Micah Richards, and Luis Figo.
It was reported that the midfielder was in talks with MLS side D.C. United.
While a full return to competitive 11-a-side football may be on hold for now, Pogba’s potential cameo in Baller League could signal his intent to stay active and connected to the game.
Whether he ever dons the red of Manchester United again remains to be seen—but a return to the pitch in any form would be a welcome sight for fans.
