Manchester United are preparing for a significant summer rebuild, with INEOS determined to back Ruben Amorim with a squad built around both proven talent and high-potential youth.
A number of areas across the pitch will need investment.
United’s strategy is now clearly shifting toward smarter, long-term planning after years of poor recruitment.
As previously revealed on CentreDevils, one of the names close to joining United was highly-rated French forward Enzo Kana-Biyik.

Now, CentreDevils can exclusively reveal that the deal is effectively done.
Kana-Biyik is set to become Manchester United’s first signing of the summer, with only paperwork and a medical left to complete.
The 18-year-old, who has impressed at Le Havre with nine goals and one assist in 15 games for the Under-19s this season, was also on the radar of Ligue 1 sides Marseille, Lyon and Monaco.
All of whom were beaten to his signature by United.
As previously reported on CentreDevils, Kana-Biyik had even visited the training grounds of some of the French clubs, but ultimately chose the Premier League path.
No negotiations with Le Havre were required as his contract is due to expire this summer.
The opportunity was simply too good for Le Havre to turn down, despite wanting the 18-year-old to stay.
However, fans won’t see the striker in a United shirt right away.
Once he officially joins, Kana-Biyik will be sent on loan to FC Lausanne-Sport, an INEOS-owned club in Switzerland.
Thus, to help accelerate his senior development in a first-team environment.
Christopher Vivell architect behind Enzo Kana-Biyik deal
The deal was driven by Christopher Vivell, United’s full-time director of recruitment.
Vivell continues to earn praise for his growing influence behind the scenes.
Vivell was previously instrumental in the capture of Sekou Kone, as previously reported on CentreDevils.
His vision is now shaping United’s new transfer identity.
Despite a short stint at Chelsea, Vivell retains a stellar reputation across Europe for spotting talent and building smart, sustainable squads.
This latest move is another clear example.
Kana-Biyik’s arrival adds to a growing list of promising youth additions at United.
A signing which further emphasises INEOS’ growing emphasis on smart recruitment in rebuilding for the future.
This first signing of the summer signals that United’s rebuild under INEOS is well underway.
