Manchester United is entering a pivotal summer window, with the future of multiple players uncertain.

One of the key decisions revolves around Marcus Rashford, who left for a loan spell at Aston Villa in January.

While United looks to reshape its squad under manager Ruben Amorim, Marcus Rashford has been performing well in his new surroundings.

His performances have caught the attention of Villa’s boss Unai Emery, leading to speculation over whether he will make the move permanent.

Along with Marcus Rashford, several other players, including Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia, are currently away from Old Trafford on loan.

United’s summer plans are expected to involve substantial changes, with several players potentially leaving to make room for new arrivals.

As the team aims to be competitive in all competitions next season, securing funds through player sales and loan returns will be crucial.

Speaking ahead of the upcoming match against Bournemouth, Amorim discussed the club’s loan players, acknowledging their talent and contributions.

He confirmed that all loaned players would return at the end of the season, allowing the club to assess their futures.

“When you put a player on loan, the best thing is for them to perform.

“All these players have talent, and they have to put that on the team,” said Amorim.

Rashford’s recent form at Villa has been impressive, contributing four goals and six assists in just 17 appearances.

Despite Villa having a £40 million option to buy Rashford, reports indicate that the 27-year-old has not ruled out a permanent move to Villa.

With the contract running until 2028, Rashford’s next step is uncertain, especially given his desire to play in the Champions League.

Amorim explained that all loaned-out players are expected to return before the club decides their futures

“All the players on loan will return and then the club will decide what to do at the end of the season,” he said.

“When you put a player on loan the best thing is for them to perform.

“All these [loan] players have talent and they have to put that on the team.”

With Manchester United looking to strengthen their squad, Amorim’s comments leave open the possibility that Rashford may still have a future at the club.

However, with Villa’s option and United’s intent to raise funds for new players, the summer transfer window promises to be an intriguing one for Rashford and United alike.

Amorim, however, is focused on the immediate season and would not be drawn into speculation about the club’s transfer targets, including Matheus Cunha, despite United being in advanced talks with the Wolves striker.
