Manchester United appear fully focused on revamping their attack ahead of next season, with Ruben Amorim eager to address the club’s goal-scoring issues at Old Trafford.
The search for a reliable centre-forward has led to heavy speculation around Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
Some reports have suggested that personal terms were close to being agreed.

However, David Ornstein earlier shut down those rumours.
He stated on NBC Sports that the Nigerian striker is not on United’s radar.
The David Ornstein update makes clear that despite claims of a £40 million offer being lined up, Manchester United have no interest in pursuing Osimhen this summer.
The reasons for that decision are now also emerging.
Victor Osimhen salary demands deemed too high
According to Ornstein on The Athletic latest Q&A, there’s a growing feeling among Premier League clubs that Osimhen’s salary demands are too high.
More crucially, that he’s “perhaps not the player/character they are looking for at present.”
Instead, United’s attacking focus lies on Liam Delap and Matheus Cunha.
Both of whom are seen as better fits for Ruben Amorim’s rebuild.
Their combined release clauses total £92.5 million.

However, United are said to be confident of funding those moves without any major player sales or reliance on European qualification.
Cunha is understood to be on the verge of signing for Red Devils.
While Delap’s deal hinges is still said to remain on whether United qualify for next season’s Champions League.
That gives Amorim a clear transfer pathway.
As well as confirming Osimhen will not be part of the next era at Old Trafford.
The news may well come as a disappointment to United fans, considering Osimhen’s quality.
Moreso, considering questions around whether Delap would be the man for the long-term.
