However, the striker won’t be at Carrington long before heading out on loan.

As part of his agreement to join The Red Devils, the Frenchman is set for a loan spell in Switzerland.

United are making use of their links with other clubs through their co-owners INEOS, with Kana-Biyik heading to FC Lausanne-Sport for a year to gain experience of first-team football.

Ezno Kana-Biyik and the Le Havre family legacy

Born in Paris, France on 8th January 2007, Enzo is the son of Cameroon international Andre Kana-Biyik.

Andre made 80 appearances for the Cameroon national side over the course of a decade, grabbing 15 goals from defensive midfield, having moved from Cameroon to play in France for FC Metz and Le Havre.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Enzo and his older brother Jean-Armel have featured in the Le Havre academy, with his youngest brother, Lorenzo currently playing in the PSG academy at the age of 15.

Whilst Jean-Armel has retired now, hanging up his boots at the age of 32 in 2022, he graduated from the Le Havre academy, playing in centre back for the senior side for three years before moving on, bouncing around French and Turkish sides.

This season marked Enzo’s first year with the Under-19s side, grabbing nine goals and an assist in 15 games for the French youth side.

Enzo looked likely to be on track to follow his brother into the Le Havre senior side, already receiving two call-ups, sitting on the bench against LOSC Lille in Ligue 1 and Stade Briochin in Coupe de France.

Whilst the 18-year-old can play on the right wing, his natural role is as an out-and-out striker, being described as having an attacking flair and strong instincts in front of goal.

His potential has also been recognised on the international stage, being called up to France’s Under-18s side on three occasions for international friendlies back in March.

Now, Enzo Kana-Biyik is set for a move to Old Trafford, although fans won’t be getting sight of him in the red of United for another year.

Ruben Amorim will be hoping that his season on loan in Switzerland will help hone his ability on the pitch to allow him to fit into the senior side at Old Trafford much more easily in a years time.
