Manchester United are making massive waves already, preparing for the summer transfer window to open, keen on signing a new striker.

Over the last 48 hours, it’s emerged that The Red Devils are actively pursuing Matheus Cunha, with United confident of signing the Wolverhampton Wanderers striker.

Cunha is intrigued by the prospect of being a vital part of Ruben Amorim’s rebuild at Old Trafford in a bid to return United to their winning ways, and as such is close to agreeing terms on a move at the end of the season.

Despite the club’s financial struggles, United can reportedly afford the £62.5 million release clause for the proven Premier League goal scorer, however he might not be the only new attacker coming to Old Trafford this summer.

Ruben Amorim’s side is reportedly pushing ahead with a move for world class striker Victor Osimhen.

Manchester United step up pursuit for Victor Osimhen

At the end of the season, Osimhen will be returning from loan at Galatasaray to parent club Napoli for the final year of his contract.

Despite his incredible form, with 29 goals and 6 assists in 34 games, Antonio Conte has no plans to retain the Nigerian international and integrate him into his squad.

Now, The Mirror has reported that United are hoping to land Osimhen’s signing in a cut-price deal, for £40 million.

Whilst the striker’s release clause sits at around £63 million, with Napoli previously hinting at their desire for a bidding war for Osimhen, United are hopeful they can secure a deal.

Osimhen has reportedly already agreed terms to move to Old Trafford in the summer, with the agreement with Napoli all that’s left to sign off the move.
