The summer clear-out at Manchester United is already taking shape with several high-profile names linked with an Old Trafford exit.

Christian Eriksen is widely expected to move on after falling down the midfield pecking order under Ruben Amorim.

Casemiro’s future also remains uncertain amid interest from the Saudi Pro League, with United open to offers for the Brazilian.

Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho has growing interest from Europe’s elite which has prompted behind-the-scenes conversations at Carrington.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford and Antony are among the players facing uncertain futures.

But while much speculation surrounds the club’s stars, two experienced figures have already made their decision.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, both Tom Heaton and Jonny Evans are set to leave Manchester United when their contracts expire at the end of the 2024/25 season.

Romano reports that the decision has been made and is part of a broader summer transition being overseen by INEOS and Ruben Amorim.

The veteran duo have been valuable squad members, with Tom Heaton offering reliable backup between the sticks and Jonny Evans returning for a second spell to provide defensive cover amid an injury crisis.

Now, both are heading for the exit door, with United keen to free up squad space for fresh signings and academy promotions.

Heaton, 38, has been at the club since 2021 and has featured sparingly but remained a key influence off the pitch.

Jonny Evans, 36, rejoined United last summer on a short-term deal and ended up making more appearances than expected, largely due to a string of injuries at centre-back.

The pair were also rumoured to be retiring, but this remains unconfirmed.

United will now look to strengthen both the goalkeeper and defensive departments, with younger, long-term options being prioritised.

As the summer window approaches, this is just the beginning of what’s expected to be a transformative period at Old Trafford. More exits are likely, and the rebuild is already in motion.
