Manchester United have released the details for their three pre-season fixtures ahead of the Premier League’s Summer Series.
Last year’s preseason saw Amorim’s boys take on Rosenborg in Norway, and Rangers in Edinburgh before flying over the the States to face Arsenal in L.A., Real Betis in San Diego, and Liverpool in South Carolina.
The mixed bag of results there perhaps should have been a warning for the very poor start United have had this season, as they won only 2 out of their 5 preseason games.

With pressures from Sir Jim Ratcliffe, co-owner of United’s majority stakeholder INEOS, for the Red Devils to step up their game after finishing only eighth in the Premier League last season.
According to manutd.com, United’s preseason games will be as follows:
v West Ham United – MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, 26/07 – KO 19:00 ET (27/07 – 00:00 BST)
v Bournemouth – Soldier Field, Chicago, 30/07 – KO 20:30 CT (31/07 – 03:30 BST)
v Everton – Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, 03/08 – KO 16:00 ET (03/08 – 23:00 BST)
Last year, on the topic of last year’s pre-season training, the Guardian quoted manager at the time, Eric ten Hag, saying “We play pre-season but at Man United the standard is you win games and definitely don’t lose”.
This is a sentiment that the Red Devils would do well to embody, as they sit at 14th in the Premier League table.
Only time will tell whether United’s time overseas will translate into a better performance on the pitch.
