It’s been quite the productive few months for Antony.

Since moving from Manchester United to Real Betis, the Brazilian attacker has become hot property again.

From one of the worst signings in Manchester United history, Antony has transformed into one of the best loan signings in LaLiga history within a very short space of time.

In his first 5 LaLiga matches, Antony has two goals and two assists to his name.

This form has led to renewed interest in the player as the likes of Juventus think about making a move for Antony in the summer.

But that’s not the only good news that’s come Antony’s way.

It has been confirmed that he has reached a financial settlement with a former club of his.

For those unaware of the situation, Antony took former club Ajax to court in January.

The Netherlands giants had fined the Brazilian after he allegedly missed training in the hopes of pushing through a move to Old Trafford.

Despite getting the move in the end, Antony took Ajax to court to claim back the money he had been fined.

It is believed that the club had fined him over £300,000 and Antony felt the amount was excessive.

And the latest news is that a resolution has been reached on the matter.

Ajax have themselves confirmed that they’ve reached a settlement and have released a statement on the matter.

“Ajax and Antony have reached a settlement in an arbitration case that the former Ajacied had filed against the club.

“In this procedure, the arbitration committee of the KNVB recently issued an interim ruling, after which Ajax and Antony re-engaged in discussions.

“This has led to both parties finding a solution that satisfies both the club and the former player.

“No further details about the settlement will be disclosed.

“Given the positive history between Ajax and the Brazilian attacker, all parties involved are pleased that the arbitration process has come to an end and that they can put this matter behind them.

“Antony left Amsterdam for Manchester United in the summer of 2022”.

While no details on the finances have been released, it’s clear that the Amsterdam giants want to put this matter behind them and move on.

And it’s also clear that Antony will have received some money back from those fines.

That should allow the Brazil international a chance to continue focusing on the pitch and churn out the kind of impressive performances that he’s been doing since joining Real Betis.

Both Manchester United fans and the United hierarchy will be hoping that Antony can sustain his form for the rest of the season with the hope that it can increase his value as the club looks to claw back some of the £82m they spent bringing him to Manchester.
