Bruno Fernandes may be the only shining light for Manchester United this season.

MUFC fans are witnessing their club have a miserable season, currently languishing in bottom half of league table.

They crashed out of the FA Cup and are set to miss out on European qualification.

Their struggles have been compounded by a lack of leadership and experienced figures.

The Red Devils have relied heavily on young talents, but they have often lacked guidance from a proven spine.

Outside of Fernandes, there are no other top-class performances from veterans to ease the pressure, with inconsistency plaguing the teams performances.

This has led to concerns growing over the future of their most important player.

Red Devils looking to keep hold of Bruno Fernandes

Former United chief scout Mick Brown has revealed the club is doing everything to keep hold of Bruno Fernandes.

He exclusively told Football Insider that speculation over a potential exit will not be entertained.

The club are fully aware that replacing Fernandes with a player of similar quality would be extremely difficult.

Reports last year suggested he was unhappy following United’s disappointing season.

Despite staying at Old Trafford last summer, fresh rumours have emerged regarding his future.

However, Brown has insisted he remains central to Ruben Amorim’s long-term plans.

He is under contract until 2027, with the club holding an option for an extra year.

Brown dismissed any talk of a sale as “ridiculous” given his influence on the team.

“He is head and shoulders above the rest of them,” he said.

“He has carried this side through difficult situations and crucial games.”

Brown also warned that losing him would leave United with an impossible task.

“If you let your best players leave, you have to replace them, and that’s not easy.”

Amorim recently admitted he has told his squad that any player could be sold this summer.

His comments have reportedly unsettled the dressing room and caused internal unrest.

Brown believes the manager’s remarks have only created more negativity at the club.

“It’s catastrophic,” he told Football Insider, suggesting key players are now considering their futures.

United’s issues off the pitch continue to mirror their problems on it.
