Coming out of the winter transfer window, with Patrick Dorgu signed in the left-wing-back role, it seemed like all United needed next was a striker.
However, Andre Onana had other thoughts.
United’s first-choice goalkeeper has made some questionable decisions on the pitch which have resulted in goals against The Red Devils.
Unfortunately, United’s 3-2 win over Ipswich was no different.
Only four minutes in and Ipswich already had the lead with an opportunistic goal by Jaden Philogene. The Ipswich attacker jumped on the lack of communication between Dorgu and Onana, as Dorgu’s pass back rolled clear past a severely out-of-position Onana, with Philogene only needing to tap it in.
Next, once United were 2-1 up, Onana struck again, failing to stop a cross from Philogene which failed to connect with Liam Delap, careering into the far bottom corner.
Now, with the extent of simple issues being caused by the United goalkeeper, United staff are really concerned of Onana being a “major issue” for the club.
The Red Devils are now looking for a replacement to the 28-year-old, with a strong contender being found in the Championship.

Manchester United rival Newcastle for James Trafford

GiveMeSport has reported that Manchester United are now looking to in-form goalkeeper James Trafford who has had an incredible season with Burnley.
In 33 games, Trafford has kept 24 clean sheets, only conceding nine league goals all season, including a current streak of 12 clean sheets.
As such, United are renewing interest in the star after first considering a move for the English goalkeeper when Burnley were relegated in the summer.
However, Newcastle United are currently the front runners for his signature which comes with a £30 million price tag.
That said, Amorim’s offer of giving Trafford the chance to be the first-choice goalkeeper over Onana at Old Trafford could be enough incentive to hijack The Magpies’ deal.
