Rasmus Hojlund is struggling to find his form at Old Trafford as he’s now gone 16 appearances across all competitions without a goal.
The Denmark international has only scored seven goals with one assist in 33 games, averaging at a goal contribution every four games.
Needless to say for a £72 million striker, it’s not a strong showing.
His arrival from Atalanta in 2023 was heavily pushed by Erik ten Hag, worth an initial £64 million plus £8 million in add-ons.
However, Hojlund’s place as United’s first-choice striker is merely one of a lack of options as opposed to being a clinical finisher, with the coaches now growing impatient with his lack of form.
Including this season, Hojlund has grabbed 23 goals and 3 assists across his 76 appearances for United, scoring ten goals in the Premier League last season.
Now, Amorim merely has him and Joshua Zirkzee as his options up top, with the club looking to bring in a prolific striker this summer.
It’s been reported that due to Hojlund’s poor form, United are concerned that they won’t be able to offload the star in the summer.
However, talkSPORT has now reported that Napoli are keen to sign Hojlund, despite his poor form.

Rasmus Hojlund set for lifeline with Napoli
The 22-year-old reportedly is still held in high regard in Italy, seen as proven in Serie A after a breakthrough season with Atalanta.
Hojlund grabbed ten goals and four assists in 34 games, helping the Italian side achieve fifth place in Serie A.
Now, Napoli are looking to see the striker reunite with his former teammate Scott McTominay at the end of the season.
However, to get the move across the line, United would need to accept taking a massive financial hit on his sale.
Transfermarkt currently have him valued at £50 million, however, given his lack of form, this could fall even further, especially factoring the club’s financial pressures and a need to sell to generate transfer funds.
