A year on from INEOS acquiring 27.7% stakes of Manchester United from The Glazers, and a lot has changed.
The club has a completely different set-up of directors, having gone through three different set-ups of coaching staff under two different managers.
Alongside these changes, 250 staff have been made redundant, as Sir Jim Ratcliffe has executed a series of cost-cutting measures to ease the financial pressures on the club.
A further 200 are reportedly set for the cut, with the financial strain on the club coming from years of mismanagement, which INEOS are now attempting to resolve, despite the uncertainty and controversy it’s causing.
Now, Ratcliffe himself could be the one being given the boot as a condition for The Glazers to remove INEOS is revealed.

The Glazers could remove INEOS from Manchester United
Bloomberg has revealed that despite INEOS owning shares in United which control the football operations of the club, The Glazers could still remove their ownership with one condition.
The American brothers have the opportunity to sell United in its entirety later on this year, including Ratcliffe’s shares.
This was reportedly a part of the agreement made when Ratcliffe bought his shares, allowing for United’s ownership to change hands another time.
It’s understood that should The Glazers decide to sell, Ratcliffe and INEOS will be given the first chance to buy the club in its entirety.
Sources close to Sir Jim Ratcliffe have indicated that he’s interested in full ownership of the club, however the opportunity was significantly reduced at the time of his mini-takeover.
However, given recent comments from Avram Glazer, that won’t be happening.
Whilst accosted on the street, being asked about selling United, Avram Glazer simply said: “No”.
