The FA have addressed Joshua Zirkzee’s controversial celebration during Manchester United’s win over Southampton.
Amad Diallo scored a stunning 12-minute hat-trick to lead United to a dramatic 3-1 comeback victory in the Premier League.
United dominated possession in the first half but struggled, with Andre Onana making key saves to keep Southampton at bay.
Southampton capitalised on poor defending from a corner to take a deserved lead just before half-time.

United’s attacking frustrations continued after the break, as Antony missed a golden chance to equalise.
Amad turned the game around late on, scoring a powerful equaliser to bring United level.
He then finished Christian Eriksen’s superb pass to put United ahead and completed his hat-trick with a solo effort in stoppage time.
Amad became the first United player to score a hat-trick since Cristiano Ronaldo in April 2022.
However, Zirkzee sparked controversy during Amad’s celebrations.
He was seen grabbing his crotch in front of the crowd.

The incident drew comparisons to past punishments, including Jude Bellingham’s £25,000 fine and suspended one-match ban.
Cristiano Ronaldo also received a one-game ban for a similar gesture while playing for Al Nassr in 2024.
The FA confirmed Zirkzee would not face formal punishment but issued a reminder of his responsibilities.
“As guidance, we have issued Joshua Zirkzee with a reminder of his responsibilities, and he will face no further action,” the FA stated.
Zirkzee played a key role in United’s win and was praised for helping Amad secure his treble.
With Rasmus Hojlund struggling in recent games, Zirkzee deserves a starting opportunity against Brighton.
United face Brighton on Sunday, and Zirkzee’s impact could be crucial in Amorim’s plans.
