Manchester United overcame Southampton 3-1 in an intense Premier League clash on Thursday, with a late flurry of goals securing the win.
Amad Diallo was the star of the night, netting a sensational 12-minute hat-trick to complete the comeback, starting in the 82nd minute.
Christian Eriksen, introduced as a substitute, delivered a delightful assist for Diallo’s second goal, showcasing his playmaking quality.
There has been growing uncertainty about the midfielder’s future at Old Trafford.
Eriksen, whose contract expires in less than six months, has been linked with a potential winter exit.

On Christmas Eve, FC Midtjylland manager Thomas Thomasberg revealed that his club and other Danish Superliga sides have considered the prospect of bringing Eriksen back to Denmark.
Tipsbladet speculated on Copenhagen as a natural destination if the Danish international opts for a move back home.
Speaking to Bold, relayed by Tipsbladet, Copenhagen sporting director Sune Smith-Nielsen was coy when asked about Eriksen.
He stated: “He’s a very skilful player. Christian is a Danish international and plays for Manchester United.
“Why don’t we just say that he’s a great international profile?
“And then I won’t comment any further.”
At 32, Eriksen’s ability to sustain the physical demands of the Premier League has come under question.
His sharp footballing brain remains intact, but the pace and intensity of Ruben Amorim’s system may not suit him as a regular starter.
The Danish playmaker could see his role limited to sporadic appearances, providing a calming influence off the bench in critical moments.
Whether Eriksen stays to fulfill his contract or departs in January remains to be seen.
It is clear his future lies away from being a central figure in United’s midfield.
A return to Denmark could offer him a fitting stage to play regular football in the twilight of his career.
