With a week of the January transfer window already gone, Manchester United are yet to kick-start their transfer season with a sale.
The United hierarchy have withheld any transfer budget, with the club relying on sales to generate funds to secure any new signings.
As such, the club are open to any legitimate offer for their players, with no-one off the table.
Now, United look close to making their first sale, with Casemiro looking to depart the club.

Casemiro set for Old Trafford departure
The veteran midfielder has taken a back seat at Old Trafford of late, predominately sitting on the bench under Ruben Amorim.
It’s been reported that Casemiro lacks the intensity that Amorim is looking for on the pitch, with youngsters Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte being favoured in the role.
As such, a departure from the club seemed inevitable, with Al-Nassr once again renewing their interest in the star.
Reports claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo was keen to reunite with his former teammate, pushing the Saudi side to sign the 32-year-old.
Now, Sky Sport have confirmed that Casemiro has indeed agreed a move to the Saudi Pro League this January.
Whilst it’s unknown which team Casemiro will be moving to, it’s expected that we’ll see him line up beside his Real Madrid and Manchester United teammate once more.
It’s also unknown how much the deal is for, with Casemiro arriving at Old Trafford in 2022 for £70 million. With Casemiro having declined on the pitch and having been demoted since his arrival, United will struggle to agree anything close to this fee, expecting to only receive £25 million for their midfielder.
However, the move will free up a considerable proportion of the salary budget, currently earning £350,000 per week as the club’s highest earner.
Whilst this fee seems astronomical, it’s nothing compared to what the Saudi Pro League has offered him.
With his move to Saudi Arabia, Casemiro could see his wage increase to £650,000 per week.
No doubt more details will emerge over the coming days, however this could start a run of transfer business for The Red Devils.
