Manchester United are looking at completely overhauling their squad, with inconsistency being a key issue at the cub.
The Red Devils find themselves in 13th place in the Premier League after they started 2025 with a draw to Liverpool at Anfield.
However, their previous run of four losses continued United’s worst Premier League campaign to date.
Now, Ruben Amorim is tasked with turning things around, with the manager even addressing concerns about avoiding relegation.
The Portuguese manager’s job is made even harder by the lack of a transfer budget this month, meaning that sales are essential to make any new signings.
As such, the club are open to offers on the majority of their stars, actively trying to offload the likes of Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, Antony and Joshua Zirkzee.
Whilst it looks most likely that any departure of these stars this month will come in the form of loan deals, United could see one start depart permanently.

Manchester United edge closer to Casemiro’s departure
Veteran midfielder Casemiro looks even closer to leaving Old Trafford as Al-Nassr have renewed interest in the Brazilian, wanting to reunite him with two-time former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Saudi side looked to Casemiro last summer, however nothing materialised with the midfielder wishing to stay with United.
Now, with his play time limited under Ruben Amorim, especially after the arrival of Manuel Ugarte this summer, Casemiro is reportedly open to leaving the club.
However, a sale this January could see a massive drop in fees that United were asking for only six months ago.
Casemiro arrived at Old Trafford in 2022 for £70 million, with United aiming to recoup these fees with the same price tag last summer.
However, now, talkSport has reported that Al-Nassr are anticipating a bid as low as £25 million could be successful in landing the star.
Further to this, Casemiro could be set for a massive pay rise, being offered nearly double his current wage, which is already the highest salary at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian is currently earning £350,000 per week, however, a move could see this increase to £650,000 per week.
It’s unknown as of yet if any formal enquiries have been made on Casemiro’s availability. However, if this drop in value is to be believed, it constitutes a massive loss for one of Erik ten Hag’s major signings.
