Michael Owen has defended a Manchester United performer after their Boxing day defeat to Wolves.
United suffered their fourth loss in five league games, with a 2-0 defeat at Molineux.
Despite controlling the first half, United struggled to break Wolves down, who dominated with physicality.
The match took a turn early in the second half when Bruno Fernandes was sent off after a second yellow card.
Wolves took the lead with Matheus Cunha scoring directly from a corner.
The goal was a repeat of the goal United conceded to Son Heung-Min the previous week.
In stoppage time, Wolves sealed their win as Cunha launched a counter-attack, setting up Hee-Chan Hwang.
Michael Owen was quick to display sympathy for a certain player who failed to make his mark in the game.

Rasmus Hojlund failed to register a shot on goal before being brought off in the 79th minute.
Speaking to Premier League Productions as per the Metro, Owen labelled Hojlund’s role as the “hardest position in the Premier League.”
He pointed out that Hojlund only received six passes in the first half.
Four of which, were from defenders.
Owen believes that the role of centre-forward at United has become a “poison chalice.”
Owen also added, “I feel so sorry for the lad.
“He’s supposed to do something with that?
“I can’t judge him as a player, I don’t know whether he’s good for bad.”
He concluded by reflecting on how the role of United’s striker used to be one of the most coveted positions in world football.
Hojlund has scored seven goals for United this season but often looks isolated in games.
He averages only one shot on target per 90 minutes in the Premier League, with six teammates averaging more.
Fans are divided over whether the blame lies with Hojlund or the system.
