A new era is upon us at Manchester United, with the appointment of Ruben Amorim as head coach.
The hiring of the Sporting manager has been met with a lot of excitement amongst fans and players alike. Amorim changed the landscape of the Portuguese club, getting them back to winning ways. A feat The Red Devils are hoping he can achieve in Manchester.
Amorim led Sporting to their first league title in 19 years, grabbing five trophies in four years in Lisbon.
United are planning potential signings to fit his system, with the winter transfer window just around the corner.

Providing an insight into these plans, FootballTransfers has now revealed United’s planned transfer business in 2025.
Manchester United plans for life under Ruben Amorim
In January, United are primarily looking at two defensive targets who have been on their radar for some time.
Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite is still firmly on United’s list, with The Toffees continuing to ask for £58 million (€70 million) for the centre-back. With Amorim playing a back three, primarily made up of centre-backs, Branthwaite provides a great option as a left-footed option in the trio.
Staying on the left, United are also continuing interest in Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez. The left-back was considered in the summer as a long-term replacement to Luke Shaw, with both Shaw and Tyrell Malacia out injured.
It’s also reported that unless Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee can up their game, United will also be looking for a prolific goalscorer to capitalise on the chances created. However, no specific target has been named.
Departing the club, United are open to offers for two of their big names as early as January. The Red Devils are looking to offload Antony and Christian Eriksen, with neither looking to feature in Amorim’s long-term plans.
