Manchester United have recently completed their first transfer window under the leadership of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Dan Ashworth.
In phase one of the club’s squad rebuild, The Red Devils managed to secure some top signings in the form of Matthijs de Ligt, Manuel Ugarte, Noussair Mazraoui, Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee.
With the first wave of new signings now settling into the squad, with de Ligt and Mazraoui already establishing themselves in the first squad, the club are now looking towards phase two.

Already United are being lined with some incredible talents for next year, with the likes of Leroy Sane and Alphonso Davies as potential free transfers come January.
United is now linked with a young midfielder being likened to Premier League winner N’Golo Kante.
Manchester United’s new midfield target
Manchester United are now monitoring 23-year-old midfielder Morten Frendrup. Frendrup is currently playing for Genoa in Serie A, having moved from Brondby in 2022 for £3.3 million (€3.9 million).
Since joining, the Denmark international has made himself a key member of the starting line-up, making 98 appearances for the club with four goals and six assists.
With his potential becoming apparent, GIVEMESPORT has reported that United have scouted him “with a view towards making a prospective move for him in the summer”.
Much like Kante, Frendrup plays a deeper role on the pitch, breaking up the play and launching offensives. The midfielder’s ability to read the game has been labelled as “remarkable”.
Currently averaging 1.6 interceptions and 2.9 tackles per game, and with youth on his side, Frendrup could be a great option to replace Casemiro and Christian Eriksen who, both at 32, are no longer performing like their former selves.
However, United could have a fight on their hands, with “as many as ten top-flight clubs” interested in the star. United will have to fend off Premier League rivals Liverpool and Spurs if they hope to sign the midfielder.

High praise being compared to N’Golo Kante
N’Golo Kante currently plays for Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Prop League after moving from Chelsea in 2023 on a free transfer.
However, the midfielder’s time in the Premier League was truly remarkable, known for his pace and engine-like industry on the pitch.
The 33-year-old was a part of Leicester City’s Premier League winning squad after joining from SM Caen in 2015 for £7.5 million (€9 million).
Kante was an integral part of the squad, commanding the midfield, with his contribution to the side’s success earning him a £30 million (€35.8 million) move to Chelsea the following year.
The following year, he won the Premier League again, making it back-to-back wins for the midfielder. However, this wasn’t his only silverware whilst playing in the Premier League. The midfielder also won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Europa League, FA Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
Whilst Kante may not have contributed to a huge amount of goals, his constant drive to win the ball and set up attacks has been vital to any team he’s been a part of.
He brought this tenacity to the world stage as well, winning the World Cup with France in 2018.
Needless to say, being likened to Kante is a massive honour, one that Frendrup will be hoping to live up to.
