Jose Mourinho plots reunion at Fenerbahce

The Manchester United defender could see a move to Turkey rejuvenate his career.

Former Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho is setting up a reunion with his former defender at new club Fenerbahce.

The special one became manger of the Turkish side in the summer and has been enjoying a good run, currently sat in fourth in the Turkish league and thirteenth in the Europa League.

Now, reports are emerging that Mourinho is looking to bring one of his former defenders from Manchester United to Fenerbahce to strengthen the defence.

Jose Mourinho looks to Victor Lindelof

According to Sabah, Jose Mourinho is now looking at bringing Victor Lindelof to Turkey next summer.

The out of favour defender was linked with a reunion with Mourinho this summer, however nothing materialised, with the Sweden international plagued with injury.

Lindelof is in the final year of his contract and as such in January can negotiate with other clubs to line up a contract when his comes to an end.

With the state of injuries at Old Trafford at the moment, having Leny Yoro and Harry Maguire sidelined, it’s expected that Erik ten Hag will look to retain Lindelof in January as a back of for the remainer of the season.

However if the Sweden international wants regular game time, a move to rejoin Jose Mourinho could give him the lifeline his career now needs.
